Trump demands everyone say 'radical Islamic terrorist' -- but refuses to say 'white supremacist': CNN pundit

SiriusXM Progress host Dean Obeidallah went after President Donald Trump's hypocrisy while on CNN Sunday. He noted that the right-wing and Trump along with them, demand that everyone use the term "radical Islamic terrorist" when referring to extremists that commit acts of terrorism. When it comes to terrorists like the one that killed 50 people in New Zealand this week, Trump refuses to refer to him as a "radical white supremacist terrorist."

Obeidallah explained that it was "by design" that Trump didn't say he "stands with Muslims," who were gunned down in their place of worship.

"Donald Trump knows his base," Obeidallah continued. "He knows the GOP base has been marinating in anti-Muslim hate for years. Donald Trump just brought it to a different level. That's why, in my view, Donald Trump is the anti-Muslim bigot-in-chief."

He went on to note that 65 percent of Republican voters support Trump's anti-Muslim ban, so it's not surprising.

But it was where Obeidallah recalled the way in which Trump mandated former rival Hillary Clinton say the words "radical Islamic terrorism" when he refused to call out white supremacist terrorism.
