An attorney for Donald Trump's Department of Justice has reportedly been placed on leave after what one attorney called an astonishing, jaw-dropping admission in court.
Raw Story recently reported on Erez Reuveni's interaction with a judge in a case involving a Maryland man who was deported to El Salvador.
When asked for evidence from the DOJ, Reuveni reportedly said, "So, your honor, my answer to a lot of these questions is going to be frustrating. I am also frustrated that I have no answers for you on a lot of these questions."

A legal analyst on MSNBC said of that interaction, "essentially say, my client isn't telling me the full and complete truth, or my client isn't providing me with information that I find satisfactory enough to give to you, judge, is an extraordinarily telling moment by a career civil servant having served in the Department of Justice for 15 years. These guys are playing games with me, too, your honor. And I was astonished to see that."
Now, that DOJ prosecutor has been placed on indefinite paid leave for a "failure to zealously advocate" for the DOJ, according to New York Times DC correspondent Glenn Thrush, who added that the attorney "questioned the Trump administration's decision to deport" the man at the heart of the high-profile case.
