Nicolle Wallace thinks Trump's 'desperation is showing': 'Who's going to tell him?'
MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace couldn't help but notice that President Donald Trump and his administration spent the weekend dedicated to the ongoing effort to distract from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
At the top of her Monday show, Wallace proposed a riddle: "What do windmills, a radio show host, a former American president, and the Washington Commanders have in common?"
Her answer, "They are all targets of Donald Trump's rage as he tries anything and everything to distract us from the furor over the Epstein case."
Charlamagne the God told Trump's daughter-in-law to her face that there is a political coup going on in the GOP with traditional Republicans endeavoring to take back their party from MAGA.
Calling it his "biggest political weakness," Wallace said the president has "tried and failed to change the subject over, and over, and over again."
Meanwhile, his poll numbers over the matter continue to worsen.
It comes as legal analyst Allison Gill reported Friday that Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell was moved from an already low-security prison to a "camp" even though she was ineligible for the transfer as a convicted sex offender. To do it, the Trump administration had to get a waiver for Maxwell.
“This is such obvious corruption. I have never seen this before,” one Bureau of Prisons person familiar with the situation told Gill.
Wallace asked reporter Vaughn Hillyard, "I guess I would start with you. And my question about Trump 2.0 is who's going to tell him that his desperation is showing?"
Hillyard called it a fair question.
Wallace asked why the Trump administration is talking to Maxwell and why they moved her.
"I don't mean to put you on the spot, but we understand from Julie K. Brown and Tara Palmeri, who covered the Epstein victims extensively, that Ghislaine Maxwell was involved in the sexual assault of children, that she was the one who told young girls allegedly to take their panties off. That's a quote from Julie K. Brown. She is a convicted sex offender. Are reporters hammering Donald Trump with questions about why he is making her more comfortable as a convicted sex offender?" asked Wallace.
