There is "one piece of evidence" in the Epstein files that is raising questions Donald Trump must answer, according to a Democrat in Congress.
Rep. Eric Swalwell, who recently said Republican lawmakers in the House are ready to abandon the president because of the fallout over files related to convicted child abuser Jeffrey Epstein, flagged the piece of evidence on MS NOW on Saturday.
Asked whether the Trump administration is breaking the law, Swalwell replied, "Yes, this is a violation ofthe law."
"Don't the Americanpeople deserve to know if Donald Trump is connected in aserious way to the mostnotorious child sex traffickerever? That's what Americanswant to know. And Donald Trumpis doing everything to keep usfrom knowing that."
He added, "There's onepiece of evidence that wasreleased that's so stirring andunnerving."
Elaborating, he says, "It's a memo toJeffrey Epstein, and it says, Ihave a female for him. And whatis blacked out is the name ofthe person who called to tellhim that. And to the president,I ask, don't you want thecountry to know who what sickindividual called and offeredthat to Jeffrey Epstein?"
He then said, "Democrats have been demandingfor a year that Donald Trumprelease the Epstein files.Instead, he released Georgesantos. That's where his focusis right now."
