President Donald Trump said digging and placement of two flag poles will begin Wednesday morning, calling it his "great honor" to place them on both sides of the White House.
"It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Tuesday evening. "It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place."
Trump added that the "digging and placement of the poles" will begin bright and early Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The flags will then be raised around 11 a.m.
"These are the most magnificent poles made – They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!" he gushed.
The flagpoles will reportedly each stand nearly 100 feet tall and will display American flags. Trump has said they were "paid for by Trump."
The announcement comes after the White House broke ground earlier this month on construction projects ordered by Trump to pave over the grass in the Rose Garden and install flagpoles on the north and south lawns. The president also wants new artwork of himself on the walls and gold-toned flourishes in the Oval Office, according to The Associated Press, which added he also wants to add a ballroom.
