If he's convicted in the Stormy Daniels hush money case, Donald Trump could face anywhere between one and four years in prison — and he'd likely be sentenced just weeks before the November general election, attorney and legal commentator Norm Eisen said.
Eisen said he and colleagues analyzed "hundreds of comparable cases" and came to their conclusion about Trump's possible sentence.
New York prosecutors say Trump sent hush money payments to two women, adult movie star Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, to persuade them not reveal affairs with him. He then falsified business records to hide the payments, prosecutors claim.
The payments would be a violation of election law since they were allegedly designed to hide Trump's affairs from voters.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges in the case.
Eisen said that the trial should wrap up "at the end of April" and, if Trump is convicted, he'll likely be sentenced either in the following summer or fall.
He added that the judge would consider Trump's antics and apparent lack of remorse, which would make him a "candidate for that range" of between one and four years.
