As the House Judiciary Committee helmed by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH ) took a break on Thursday in public testimony of special counsel Jack Smith, Donald Trump flooded his Truth Social account with a flurry of posts — almost 50 — in less than an hour.
The hearing grew contentious before the break as Republicans and Democrats battled over the facts of the Jan. 6 insurrection, where details about the threats to lawmakers and then-Vice President Mike Pence were resurfaced.
That was met with Trump posting old video clips, pointing to followers' comments about ICE in Minneapolis, unfounded accusations against Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), a clip encouraging the Supreme Court to allow him to boot Fed Gov. Lisa Cook, and TikTok videos of far-right podcaster Megyn Kelly interviewing former actor James Woods, among other topics.
The president added to the barrage of posts by first posting a specific clip, and then reposting one of his fans agreeing with him on their own posts.
The president also found clips of praise from various individuals as well as claims he was a supporter of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
