Trump 'better start focusing on his legal troubles' due to 'powerful evidence': expert

Former federal prosecutor Gene Rossi told Donald Trump he better get it together if he intends to put up a defense in his mounting criminal trials.
Speaking to CNN on Tuesday, Rossi said he'd litigated more than 100 trials, and just based on what he hears in the public domain of the evidence, there is a lot for Trump to worry about.
"I can tell you this having two major trials, when you get in a courtroom and present the evidence to a jury whether you're a defense attorney or the prosecutor, that takes on a life of its own," explained Rossi. "And that jury, twelve people will be focused like a laser beam on the evidence against Donald Trump. From what I've read and what I know, the evidence in Jack Smith's case is extremely powerful, the document case in Florida, that's even more powerful."
He trailed off, noting that the other two cases in Georgia and New York also add to the former president's legal woes.

"Donald Trump better start focusing on his legal troubles and what will be in the four quarters of the courtroom," continued Rossi. "That is where the rubber meets the road."
Ex-prosecutor Shan Wu dismissed the idea that a jury can be tainted for or against Trump. He said that most people on a jury take it very seriously and they listen to the evidence.
"In the court when you do the jury selection, there will be efforts made to ask if whatever people may know about the country politics if they can set that aside and listen to the evidence, most jurors can do that. They will be able to do that I'm pretty confident," said Wu.
