Former President Donald Trump, staring down the possibility of losing his New York real estate empire in a fraud trial, griped on Truth Social about being robbed of his civil rights – and launched into yet another complaint targeted at the “racist” state Attorney General Letitia James.
Trump erupted against James, referred to by him as the "Corrupt and Racist A.G. Peekaboo James," who in 2022 filed a lawsuit against Trump and his eponymous empire of businesses accusing them of inflating the value of his properties and lying to lenders and insurers to achieve favorable terms.
"By any other Judge in New York, the trial brought by the Corrupt and Racist A.G., Peekaboo James, would be dismissed and over," he wrote on his social media site. "This case should never have been allowed to be brought - I have NO RIGHTS, & DON’T EVEN GET, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, A JURY.
Trump doesn't have a jury because his own lawyers failed to request one.
He continued to take umbrage over knocking his wealth; especially the discounted price tag of Mar-a-Lago, a lavish resort in Palm Beach, Florida that the former president has owned since he bought it for $5 million back in 1985.
"Peekaboo has misrepresented values to the judge, like Mar-a-Lago being worth only $18,000,99," he wrote.
Trump continued to poke holes in the attempts he contends are blemishing his bottom line. "I am worth much more than my Financial Statements, so there can be NO FRAUD! I have a 100% Disclaimer Clause, so again, there can be NO FRAUD!
He then pleaded for state officials to intercede and toss the case based on what he perceived as meritless motives.
"This trial is an Election Interference Witch Hunt, and everybody knows it. New York State should intercede and stop this total travesty of Justice. H'"
Should the prosecution of Trump succeed, he would be in jeopardy of losing his businesses. The 45th president also is defending himself against indictments in four jurisdictions on 91 criminal charges.
James for her part has peppered the official Twitter/X feed with numerous graphics showcasing various properties appearing to be artificially inflated in value and introducing them with "Donald Trump's art of the steal."
