Trump-loving Roseanne now says anti-Semitism -- not her own racism -- got her fired from ABC

Comedian Roseanne Barr is now blaming alleged anti-Semitism on the part of ABC executives -- rather than her own racist statements -- for her downfall as a TV sitcom star.

In an interview with the Jerusalem Post, Barr said that "what happened to me, a large part of it is anti-Semitism" and went on to claim that no one at ABC bothered to look at the context of her statement comparing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape.

"And in haste they did something unprecedented that they’ve never done to any other artist," Barr complained. "And at the base of that I think it’s because I am the most vocal person about Israel and BDS [the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement]."

Barr last year ignited a firestorm of controversy when she "joked" that Valerie Jarrett looked like the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.”

Barr herself admitted that she shouldn't have made the joke in a subsequent apology.

“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans,” Barr wrote on Twitter. “I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste.”
