New book describes bizarre moments where Trump completely forgot conversations he'd had just moments before

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman made news on Sunday when she said that former President Donald Trump should be honest with his supporters about his "health" if he intends to run in 2024. She didn't give any details or reveal what she was talking about. Trump then confessed that for "health reasons" he might not run in 2024, despite pretending he was going to run for the past year.

It made an excerpt in Stephanie Grisham's new book stick out. In "I'll Take Your Questions Now," Grisham describes returning to the White House after having COVID-19. About a month after she'd been diagnosed, Trump called her into the dining room off of the Oval Office. Sitting with Trump was Jared Kushner, Dan Scavino and Pat Cipollone.

"As I approached and POTUS saw me, he held up his hand. Looking at me as though I were Typhoid Mary, he forbade me to come any further than the doorway."

"Hi, honey, how do you feel?" Trump asked, according to the book. She said that it made her feel at ease despite being barred from entering the room. "The meeting was about, except that I remember standing awkwardly at a distance from everyone—a literal outcast. At some point, maybe ten minutes in, his mood turned and he went into a rage. He started yelling at Pat Cipollone, telling him that all of his lawyers were 'weak,' that no one would fight for him. The usual."

But that's when things turned strange.

"And where the f*ck have you been?" Trump yelled at Grisham, "as if he remembered nothing of our conversation only minutes earlier."

"I'm the only president with a PR person who is never around! I haven't known who to call for anything, just left with nothing!" Trump ranted for several more minutes about how no one working for him was any good and he needed "fighters." That was one of the times she went to her office and cried.

In February, news surfaced that Steve Bannon suggested Trump had dementia in a conversation with former CBS producer Ira Rosen. It's a similar claim made by Omarosa in her book "Unhinged"where she too described Trump as "rattling around in the White House with rage and confusion."

Trump's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at 87, dying just six years later.

Also today, Trump's one-time top Russia adviser compared him to a "flasher" who "revealed" himself to normalize outrageous behavior. WATCH:
