Legal analyst thinks she knows what's in a restricted court filing made in the Trump documents case

UPDATE: Judge Aileen Cannon ruled Monday afternoon that the list of witnesses cannot be kept under seal, meaning their identities will be revealed.

Georgia legal analyst Anna Bower said a recent filing in Donald Trump's classified document case is sealed – but she has an educated guess on what might be in it.

She thinks the entry into the court – which has few public details and is marked "restricted" – includes the names of 84 possible witnesses who could be called as part of the case.

That number comes up with a motion filed earlier on Monday by media agencies to disclose the witness list.

"The Government has moved to file under seal a list of people — apparently 84 of them — after the Court, sua sponte, ordered the former President to refrain from speaking directly to potential witnesses about this case," the media companies' motion says.

Bower tweeted Monday about the court filing: "I suspect it’s the list of 84 potential witnesses who Trump and Nauta are not allowed to communicate with about the case."

Former federal prosecutor and law professor Joyce Vance warned that this isn't the last under seal filing the world can expect to see around the case of the classified document. Despite the public desperation for information about the case, Vance warned that the summer would likely be filled with pre-trial motions that might be restricted because of the classified details the case involves.
