Trump is set to appoint reality TV star Dr. Oz to fitness council

President Trump is undergoing a rebrand of the Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, reports Axios.

Trump has appointed a host of celebrities to sit on the council that will focus on encouraging kids to play sports.

Sports and nutrition influencers appointed to the council include: reality TV star Dr. Oz, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, golfer Natalie Gulbis, three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, retired Major League Baseball pitcher Mariano Rivera, and retired NFL running back Herschel Walker.

A source told Axios that Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, will host the first meeting of the council.

The source also said: "Studies have shown that children who are involved in sports have greater self-discipline, higher self-esteem, and are better at working with others. In the coming months, the president will welcome the council members to the White House, and host a sports field day on the South Lawn."
