During an appearance on MSNBC on Tuesday morning, longtime journalist and publisher Tina Brown applauded British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his masterful manipulation of Donald Trump that is still ongoing.
Speaking with "Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough, Brown stated the leader of Labour Party had a rough start as prime minister but has hit his stride with his handling of both Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky which has made him the putative leader of the free world.
As she explained, Starmer has been engaged in a charm offensive when it comes to the American president that will be amplified when Trump visits the U.K. and will be feted in a way that will make him "drool."

According to Brown, it all started with Starmer hand-delivering a flattering invite to the easily manipulated Trump.
"Starmer's been very very skillful," she began. "I mean, first of all you know, presenting the letter inviting Trump for a second state visit, you know a second unprecedented –– he kept saying 'very special,' using very formal words –– state visit for Trump."
"You know, he [Starmer] played him like a violin and you can imagine the Foreign Office advisers who helped him craft the letter, just running around laughing as they crafted this letter, saying, 'This will do it. How many words like special can we put in here" Brown suggested with a smirk.
She later told host Scarborough that the British government will continue to play Trump by catering to his vanity with all the pomp and circumstance at their disposal when he visits.
"They will lay out the golden carriages, they will, you know, they're going to have every conceivable aspect of ceremonial glory, which they do better than anybody else in the UK, She predicted. "And Trump will absolutely drool as he did last time. It's the picture he loves the most; the picture he shows the most is of him with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace. That's what he shows to visitors."
