New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu endorsed Nikki Haley for president -- and his advocacy for her candidacy has aroused the ire of former President Donald Trump.
Appearing on several cable news channels, including Fox, and multiple shows over the past week, Sununu triggered a Trump fit on his Truth Social media site as votes in New Hampshire were being cast on Tuesday.
He even went so far as to imply that Sununu was on drugs because he has so much energy.
"Why does Fox keep putting New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu on??? Every time I mention his name at a Rally, they BOOO like crazy," Trump said on Truth Social. Sununu is one of the most popular governors in the country with a 63 percent approval rating. "He’s all jacked up on something, but he ran for President, without having the courage to announce, and did really poorly. To have this loser on so much is really bad TV."
Trump followed the rant by bragging about his own personal polling but misspelled it as "pole numbers."
"I GET MUCH BETTER POLE (sic) NUMBERS AGAINST BIDEN THAN NIKKI HALEY, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!" he ranted in all-caps.
In fact, Haley's match-up against Biden is the hardest hit to Democrats over Trump, according to CNN's recent polls. The right-wing Koch Network also released a memo explaining that their internal numbers show the same.
