'This could lead to something big': Trump teases major announcement in early morning post

Donald Trump was up early and trying to grab attention with a Truth Social post where he teased the possibility that something big may be on the verge of happening with Russia and Ukraine.

Stymied so far in his promise to bring the war in Ukraine to a quick close, the president recently told European leaders that Russian President Vladimir Putin had no intention of negotiating because he believes he is winning the years-long military incursion.

On Friday morning, the U.S. president announced a mass prisoner swap between both countries and suggested things may have changed.

On Truth Social, he wrote: "‘A major prisoners swap was just completed between Russia and Ukraine. It will go into effect shortly. Congratulations to both sides on this negotiation."

Trump then added, "This could lead to something big???"
