On Thursday morning the entire panel on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" pounced all over Donald Trump and his attorney Alina Habba's abrasive and disastrous courtroom antics on Wednesday and agreed the former president's "tantrum" in the courtroom -- not his first -- will cripple his re-election hopes.
Reflecting on Trump's day of battling with Judge Lewis Kaplan in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, co-host Joe Scarborough said it may play well to the MAGA base, but independent voters will want nothing to do with Trump come election time.
"The judge is going to have to throw him out because he's being so disruptive, like a toddler," Scarborough told his panel. "We get reports from Lisa Rubin that he is banging his hands on the table. Maybe, we don't know, maybe it is Magic Marker, if it is blood, maybe causing some more problems to his hands."
Talking about the Republican Party making Trump the 2024 GOP presidential nominee, Scarborough added, "Once again, they're setting themselves up for a loss. I'm trying to help them here. I'm trying to help Republicans as I have for seven years. They're setting themselves up for another loss."

"What we saw yesterday, the tantrum in the courtroom, the reminders of everything that happened in this trial, the reminder that Donald Trump has been found liable, as [Republican Utah Sen.] Mitt Romney said, for sexual assault, is what the Biden campaign is counting on and urging patience," co-host Willie Geist observed.
"Let this year play out," he added. "See how the American public responds to a man sitting in court, beating his hands like a toddler trying to get thrown out of the courtroom during the penalty phase of his defamation suit. This is just the tip of the iceberg."
