‘Nothing but corruption’: Trump voter now ‘totally disgusted’ with president

A man who voted for President Donald Trump explained that he had changed his mind because the current administration was "nothing but corruption."

During Friday's edition of C-SPAN's Washington Journal, a man named Russel called in to explain why he had flipped on the president.

"I'm 73 years old," he noted. "I was a conservative when I was younger. I was a registered Republican. I even voted for Donald Trump the first time."

"Man, one month into his presidency, he started this Mar-a-Lago flying home every weekend in [to the] winter White House, he continued. "This president, I don't even like to use that word, and his vice president will definitely get us into a war, into some kind of big war. And at this time, America, I'm afraid we are not going to be the victors. We're not the most powerful anymore. We're the nastiest."

Russel noted that he was born in the same hospital as Trump.

"My partner and I both lived in the downstate area, and we've known, we've seen Trump from the very beginning, from his youngest days," he added. "This is nothing but corruption, and this country is heading down the road to failure. I'm totally disgusted by what he's done to farmers and so many people that supported him; it's been nothing but a total chain of lies since this has begun."
