President Donald Trump on Wednesday finally weighed in on ABC's decision to cancel Trump supporter Roseanne Barr's hit sitcom -- and he wasted no time making it all about himself.
"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that 'ABC does not tolerate comments like those' made by Roseanne Barr," Trump wrote. "Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?"
Barr's show was cancelled by ABC on Tuesday after she tweeted out that former Obama White House aide Vallerie Jarrett looked like the offspring of "the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes."
Trump chose not to weigh in on the controversy during his Tuesday night rally, though he apparently decided that he'd heard enough upon learning that ABC issued a formal apology to Jarrett.
Trump did not specify what "HORRIBLE" statements were made on ABC about him, although there are no known instances of the president being called a racial slur on any ABC News programs.
The White House on Tuesday suggested that Trump would refrain from commenting on the cancellation of Roseanne's show, as he was purportedly busy preparing for the North Korea summit that may happen next month.
""As you know, [he] has been extremely focused... on with the upcoming summit," White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters "And the President is focused on North Korea... trade deals... rebuilding our military, the economy. And that's what he’s spending his time on; not responding to other things."
