Trump's spiritual advisors encourages the church to 'vote red' and says the IRS can't do anything about it

President Donald Trump's spiritual advisor Paula White and Terri Copeland Pearsons, eldest daughter of Kenneth Copeland, told the congregation at Eagle Mountain International Church to "vote red."

Her comment was a violation of the Johnson Amendment which is a provision in the U.S. tax code that "prohibits all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations from endorsing or opposing political candidates."

"We’re going to vote for the team that will most press that agenda through because it’s the judges that have brought so much of the ungodliness into our nation," Pearsons said.

“You see the hand of God in all this,” White said.

She added that California passed a law, “That says the Bible is a book of hate speech and to ban the sale of it.”

Pearsons then continued: "Vote red. I can say that to you without any fear that the IRS is going to take away your right to donate to this church and deduct it from your taxes and without you being audited because of it. That’s over and that’s because our president did that for us.”
