Paul Krugman trashes Trump's 'useless wall': He's 'doing all he can to make us weak again'

President Donald Trump is losing to China on the world stage, according to economist Paul Krugman.

Krugman referenced a new column by New York Times columnist David Brooks, which argued that, "China is a grave economic, technological and intellectual threat to the United States and the world order."

"If China is an existential threat to the liberal international order, do we have the capacity to improve our system so it can face the challenge — to invest in human capital, to reform our institutions, repair the social fabric and make our political system function once again?" Brooks wondered.

Krugman then explained how Trump was making the situation even worse with his investment priorities.
