University of Alabama probes student threats: 'I'll kill you n****r -- don't speak to me wrong'

The University of Alabama is reportedly investigating a student after he was accused of making violent racial threats.

Screen grabs shared on Twitter by user @JCOM42 showed a Facebook conversation with someone named Ryan Parish, who apparently became outraged at the idea of his future daughter being part of an interracial relationship.

"I'll kick your black ass," Parish wrote, adding, "You bitch."

In a private conversation with @JCOM42, Parish added racial slurs to his threat.

"I'll kill you n****r don't speak to me wrong," the message said.

A bio posted with the message indicated that Parish is a pre-law student at the University of Alabama. Other images shared on social media showed a Confederate flag adorning Parish's Facebook page.

Another message, reportedly from Parish, said that he was tired of people complaining "about how terrible is is to be black."

"Well get a f*cking white mask and where [SIC] it around for God's sake," the message said. "We are SICK AND TIRED of your excuses about how terrible it is to be black. I could name you 15 black people right now that seem well off and don't complain about their race."

The University of Alabama issued a statement after multiple students said that they complained to the school.

"The University does not condone the use of hostile language or threats of violence in any situation," the statement said. "Proper authorities are being notified about recent social media posts, and incidents will be addressed."

A Facebook conversation that was shared on social media suggested that Parish may have tried to apologize.

"I apologize from the bottom of my heart," the alleged message said. "I never meant that. I feel 100% remorse and I am torn. If anyone would forgive me I would totally appreciate it. I will issue a public apology. I am so sorry folks."
