Terrorism expert Seamus Hughes follows examples of threats that ordinarily would go unreported or underreported by the media because they're buried in court filings or specifics aren't released until several months after the threat is made.
On Tuesday, he added three new instances to a growing list of home-grown terrorists sending warnings of violence.
Jeffrey Stevens, also known as Zayed Stevens, was arrested for threatening to “shoot every pro-Israel US officials (sic).” The threat was made directly to the CIA through its website.
One post made on Oct. 8, 2023 on the CIA's public website said: "I have very strong Palestinian, Hezbollah, and Iranian contacts. You people had better wake up. If the U.S. strikes Palestinian resistance, you will be destroyed. I cannot wait until C.I.A. operatives start getting eliminated. I am going to laugh."
Another post on Nov. 17, 2023 said, "I am going to shoot every pro-Israel U.S. government official in the head, and there is nothing you can do about it because you are the pathetic C.I.A. I am going to kill all of you." Stevens used his gmail address to make the threats, according to Hughes.
In a Facebook message to the Fort Wayne Police Department, Stevens said he would "kill every Jew" in the city and they couldn't stop him because "you are stupid n---ers." He said he would make sure to kill "especially the dark ones." He sent the message from his Facebook account using his actual photo identifying himself, Hughes said.

On Monday, Pennsylvanian Thomas West was arrested for threats he made against his former employer, a defense logistics agency he believes owes him $50,000.
While he said in the message numerous times he was not making any violent threats, he then said: “I understand why Timothy McVeigh did what he did. I understand why terrorists do the things they do against United States government. I will be showing up there today with an A.R. 15 assault rifle that’s been converted to fully automatic.”
“I know where your children get on and off the school bus.. I know where your spouses work," he went on to say.
A California person impersonated someone when making a bomb threat in October 2023, another filing reports. Nathalie Nguyen contacted the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and three State Department employees saying, "I wil (sic) kill every f---ing one of you who has been delaying issuing my wife visa (sic)."
