Watch a tandoori lamb chop’s journey into space in majestic and absurd PR stunt

In the video embedded below, two Londoners tie a Tandoori lamb chop to a weather balloon and release it, sending a camera along for the ride.

According to Mashable.com, graphic artist Nick Hearne and novelist Nikesh Shukla ordered the lamb chop at London's Tayyabs restaurant before sending it on its journey.

The balloon rose at approximately 1,000 feet per minute for 95 minutes before bursting and breaking contact with Shukla and Hearne.

The two friends figured they'd never see the camera again, but five months after the launch, a farmer in Dorset reported that he'd found the wreckage of the balloon on his property.

The object of the stunt was to promote Shukla's latest book, Meatspace.
