Trump-lover Steve Cortes tried to attack CNN's Ana Navarro for calling the president a racist -- it didn't go well

On Monday, CNN's Don Lemon hosted a panel centered around President Donald Trump's divisive rhetoric and strategies ahead of the midterm election.

Republican strategist Ana Navarro who announced that she wasn't voting Republican this time around slammed former President Donald Trump aide, Steve Cortes over his double standard.

Lemon played a racist robo-call that degraded Oprah who campaigned for gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D-GA). Cortes said that the robo-call did not reflect on Trump.

"Instead of talking policy, it's character assassination," Cortes said.

"You should have been careful last night when you called him a racist pig," Cortes told Narrvo.

"Until you're willing to hold the president of the United States to a much higher standard than you hold me, you can take that smirk off your face," she responded.
