Watch: Comedian D.L. Hughley demolishes Trump staffers' hypocritical calls for civility

On Monday, comedian D.L. Hughley appeared on MSNBC and explained why Trump administration officials' calls for "civility" are pretty ironic, given what President Barack Obama had to endure during his tenure.

"I think that when you have a president that is lowering the norms of civility ... when you call people racist names and misogynist names and xenophobic names ... everybody's talking about Sarah Huckabee Sanders ... and how uncivil that was, but I remember when the Tea Party would come to Barack Obama's rallies and be outside armed, you know? They started carrying guns."

"This president is racist, homophobic, xenophobic, and I think Islamophobic," Hughley continued.

He also pointed out that government officials who facilitate separating children from their parents at the border and at times putting them in cages, should not be surprised when a backlash occurs.

Trump supporters may have been fooled by candidate Trump's rhetoric during an election. But since assuming the presidency, Hughley argued, Trump has made his racial biases abundantly clear.

"I can understand supporting somebody and then not being sure where they'll go. Like he's going to change ... I'm not saying that everybody who supports Donald Trump is a racist. But his supporters definitely don't think racism is a disqualifier," he concluded.
