WATCH: John Legend premiers new gospel-inflected song 'Preach' at #FamiliesBelongTogether rally in LA

The crowd gathered for the #FamiliesBelongTogether rally in Los Angeles got a special treat on Saturday as superstar singer John Legend sat down at a piano and played a new song for the protesters gathered to show a sign of strength again President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

Speaking about amnesty-seeking immigrants coming to the U.S., Legend said, "“We see them as human beings who deserve the chance to flourish and be the best versions of themselves that they can be. And it means we treat asylum seekers with compassion We don’t seek to punish them for trying to do what’s right for their families."

Noting the song has even been released yet, the popular singer intruded it as "Preach."
