WATCH: Man stomps and smashes woman's car windshield after she rejected his advances

A Tennessee woman has claimed that a man stomped her windshield after she rejected his advances in a gas station parking lot.

Nashville's WAVE reported that Bailey Cantrell was waiting in the parking lot of a gas station when a man approached her and asked her for her number. She declined to give it to him, but he persisted, eventually angering her.

Cantrell told the man she's gay — and it seemed to "trigger" him.

"After I declined, still a little bit mad, then the second I declined the third time and said ‘I'm gay, I'm just not interested,’ that's when it triggered him and he got very aggressive," she told WAVE.

Security cameras show the man standing on the hood of Cantrell's car — which she was inside — as he began stomping on the windshield. She reversed the car and when the man didn't get off, she panicked and got out of the vehicle.

"The only thing I was thinking while this was going on is he might have a weapon, he might have a knife, a gun, I don't know," she said. "So pretty much just flailing every limb to get out of his grip."

Cantrell told WAVE that she was trying to get the man to fall off the car and that when he smashed her window in, glass got in her eye.

The woman lived near the gas station where the attack happened but said she's since moved out to live with her parents — where she feels safer. Her attacker is still at large.
