WATCH: Michelle Obama hilariously whips Nick Offerman into shape in new 'Funny or Die' video

Michelle Obama is best known for her work encouraging students to exercise, and she's put together a new video with actor Nick Offerman (a.k.a., Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation) where she whips him into shape while showing us the history of exercise in the United States.

Starting back in the 1950s, Offerman begins by using a ridiculous vibrating weight-loss machine...

...before moving onto the 1960s and trying out electrotherapy weight loss...

...and then doing some more active work on a rowing machine in the '70s...

By the time he gets to the '80s, however, he's feeling winded. That's when Michelle Obama comes in and gives him the fresh motivation he needs to get through the '90s, 2000s and 2010s...

...and of course, no exercise montage would be complete without Offerman getting buff by using a Shake Weight...
