Watch MSNBC host Joy Reid ridicule pastor she booted from her show over his plans to run for Congress

MSNBC host Joy Ried gleefully took a shot at a former guest -- who she was forced to kick off her show when he went on a rant about racism -- for thinking he can win a congressional seat currently being held by outgoing Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC).

Back on Jan. 13, the AM Joy host called a timeout and cut off South Carolina evangelical televangelist Pastor Mark Burns for talking over her and refusing to answer her questions. The two later battled after Burns attacked her on Twitter after he left the show.

Reid took time out to remind her viewers of Burns' history on her show while addressing his political plans.

"Now, for an update on a recent guest. Remember Pastor Mark Burns? A quick reminder of the last time he was on the show," Reid began before showing a clip of their blowout and the following exchange.

"Well, folks, he's back," she continued. "Burns announced in Business Week, his plans to replace to replace Trey Gowdy in his South Carolina congressional district."

"Un hunh," she laughed, "I can't wait to see how that turns out."
