WATCH: Obama learns new moves on the dance floor during Kenya trip

President Barack Obama took some time out from his visit to Kenya to get on the dance floor on Saturday, the International Business Times reports.

Video from the event shows Obama at a state dinner dancing the "Lipala" with others to the Kenyan musical group Sauti Sol.

Obama's visit to Kenya is the first of its kind for a sitting president, NBC News reports. Obama's father was a Kenyan national and his visit to the East African country was something the country has been seeking.

The president spent some time in Kenya reconnecting with his paternal relatives.

"There's a reason why my name is Barack Hussein Obama," he said Saturday at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi, according to NBC News. "My father came from these parts and I have family and relatives here, and in my visits over the years walking the streets of Nairobi I've come to know the warmth and spirit of the Kenyan people."

He also addressed more serious topics, like equal treatment for LGBT people in a country that bans same-sex relations, and government corruption.

“As an African American in the United States I am painfully aware of the what happens when people are treated differently,” he said, according to Reuters.

Obama also talked about visiting the country more once his presidential term ends.
