WATCH: Rachel Maddow takes Republicans' anti-Trump angst and turns it into poetry

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow stepped out from behind her desk on Thursday to relay the depths of the anger from some conservatives regarding Donald Trump in the best way possible -- an interpretive poetry number.

Backed up on the drums by a staff member, Maddow assured her viewers that her "verses" were actual statements of concern from Republicans who are not supporting the real estate magnate's ascendance to become the party's prohibitive presidential nominee.

"If you know one, be nice," she urged viewers.

While most of the remarks Maddow performed were relatively short, she did settle into a groove while reciting a diatribe from Eliot Cohen, who worked in the State Department under George W. Bush's administration.

Cohen angrily said Trump's candidacy could represent "the Republican presidential defeat that likely impends and reflects an appropriate national revulsion at the GOP candidate, whose personal record of chicanery and wild rhetoric of bigotry and misogyny and misplaced belligerence are without parallel in the modern history of either major party."
