Seth Meyers on Thursday poured cold water on Donald Trump’s claim that his high score on a routine mental examination is somehow proof of his superior cognitive capabilities, by playing a supercut of the president stumbling to say basic English words.
In an interview with Reuters on Wednesday, Trump bragged that his score on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment is a good indicator he’s better-equipped to handle North Korea than his predecessors.
“I guess they all realized they’re going to have to leave it to a president that scored the highest on tests,” Trump insisted.
Meyers on Thursday joked that Trump took that test and “thinks he’s Stephen Hawking now.”
