Watch this supercut of Fox’s Shep Smith freaking out about the solar eclipse

Shep Smith has a history of losing his mind over rare, newsworthy events. Whether he’s transfixed by “mystery foam” in Santa Clara, California or enamored by llamas on the loose in Sun City, Arizona, the Fox News host is never one to hide his excitement while covering such incredible occasions.

So it came as no surprise Monday when an enraptured Smith covered the solar eclipse live on air, complete with proclamations of “oh my god!” and quips about creating a “total eclipse of the phone.”

Some hero on the Internet created a supercut of Smith (somewhat sarcastically) losing his mind over the natural phenomenon.
