WATCH: Trump supporter goes absolutely bonkers after Bakari Sellers compares Trump to George Wallace

A CNN panel turned into a shouting match Friday night when a Trump advocate went into an angry tirade after a black panelist compared the GOP presidential candidate to staunch segregationist George Wallace.

It all started off innocently enough when panelist Bakari Sellers noted that, culturally speaking, "[Donald] Trump is more George Wallace than he is Ronald Reagan.”

That set off Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn who immediately jumped in by blurting: "That is so wrong."

Given a chance to address Sellers' point, a smouldering Epshteyn went on the attack.

"The George Wallace comparison is absolutely ridiculous," Epshteyn pointedly said to Sellers. "Absolutely ridiculous. There is no basis for it!"

After stating that Trump "resonates with a whole spectrum of voters," the Trump advocate turned his ire of Sellers, who fired right back.

"You have no basis for the George Wallace comparison!" he reiterated, causing Sellers to snap back, "I have a lot of basis."

What followed was a lot of cross-talk and shouting over each other, with Epshteyn demanding, "What's your candidate doing?" repeatedly.

Returning to the issue of the Wallace comparison, Sellers explained, "The basis is the fact that Donald Trump has been sued, not once, but twice, for failure to rent to African-Americans. The basis is the fact that the Central Park 5 got that heinous ad in the New York Times asking for them to be executed."

Epshteyn objected claiming "That was 40 years ago," with Sellers replying, "I can can go back to 2008," before reminding Epshteyn of Trump's hand in the birther movement.

"You asked me a question, you asked me a direct question that said what is the George Wallace comparison," Sellers continued. "And I just gave it to you!"
