Watch: Washington Post reporter unloads on 'law and order' Republican hypocrites now 'trashing the FBI'

CNN analyst Max Boot blasted Republicans for their "so-called law and order politics," in an interview with CNN's Don Lemon.

The Washington Post reported that President Trump’s allies are working to undercut a top FBI source into the Russia probe.

Boot said Trump's team tactics are not normal and should never become normalized. Boot said the newly released information isn't even considered "shocking."

"It would be shocking coming from any other administration, but of course, with this one, we just -- we're kind of used to the fact that Trump and his allies, Devin Nunes and all the rest are mounting a full-throated assault on the rule of law, undermining the Department of Justice, undermining the FBI in ways that are just shocking."

Boot continued: "All these so-called laws and order republicans who spent their careers castigating Democrats for being anti-police, and they're spending their days trashing the FBI."
