Wife of convicted Trump campaign adviser bizarrely volunteers that people think they killed missing professor

Convicted felon and former Donald Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos sat down with MSNBC anchor Ari Melber on Tuesday for his first appearance on the network.

Papadopoulos must have enjoyed his appearance on "The Beat" because he returned on Wednesday -- and brought his wife, Simona Mangiante.

Melber asked the couple about Professor Joseph Mifsud, who both say they met individually. Mifsud is missing.

"Our life is full of coincidences," Mangiante said.

"Do you understand people look at this and they look at the two of you and now you're married and you both met this Mifsud character -- who is now missing in action -- and they don't really believe you guys?" Melber replied.

"Would end up thinking that we killed him," Mangiante offered, with her accent.

"As a journalist, I'll ask, did you have anything to do with his disappearance?" Melber asked.

"No," she replied. "No."

Later in the interview, Melber followed up on another angle of their interactions with Mifsud.

"So you two would not have met, fell in love and gotten married without this now missing potentially alleged spy?" Melber asked.

"That is true, it is correct," she replied.

"He is our cupid," Papadopoulos said.

"And sorry if something happened to him," Mangiante added.
