As Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is sworn in as Speaker of the House for the second time in her career, one reporter pointed out how different times were during her last swearing-in.
Mediaite's John Ziegler noted on Twitter that for her 2007 swearing-in, Pelosi received a signed and framed copy of the New York Times with her on the cover from none other than Donald Trump.
"Has anyone made a big deal out of this gift she got the LAST time that she was voted Speaker [of] the House?" Ziegler tweeted. "Because it feels like someone REALLY should."
This time around, conservative pundit Bill Kristol mused earlier in the day that Trump "couldn't stand it that Nancy Pelosi was the center of attention" the day of her second swearing-in.
The president went on to have a freewheeling "stunt" press conference later in the afternoon.
