Oregon militant LaVoy Finicum can be seen constantly telling authorities to shoot him instead of giving himself up in newly-released video taken on the day he died, Talking Points Memo reported.
The video, taken from the cell phone of fellow militant Shawna Cox, shows Finicum yelling at authorities after their vehicle was stopped outside the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Finicum insists that, rather than turn himself in, he is going to a community meeting in the nearby town of John Day.
"Go ahead, put your bullet through me," he says.
Finicum then drives away from the scene of the encounter until he and his companions reach a roadblock. He can then be seen getting out of the vehicle and yelling, "Go ahead and shoot me! You're going to have to shoot me!" before gunshots can be heard. The gunfire also shatters the windshields as his passengers duck.
Officials originally showed the video last week to prove that Finicum was shot as he reached for a weapon of his own.
