The View host furious Supreme Court bypassed Trump's ineligibility under Constitution

The anti-Donald Trump co-hosts of "The View" joined with others lamenting the 2024 election results, and one of them is blaming the Supreme Court for bypassing the Constitution.

Speaking on Wednesday morning, Sunny Hostin, a former federal prosecutor who frequently provides legal analysis on the show, complained that so many laws have been side-stepped giving Trump the power to rise again.

She began by talking about how troubled she is, specifically citing her fears about the "unfettered power" that Trump will have.

"I'm profoundly disturbed that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution did not prevent someone who participated in an insurrection from becoming president of the United States," complained Hostin.

"I think going forward, the convicted felon box on employment applications better be taken off," she said. "If you can be president of the United States, then you should not be prevented from employment. I remember applying for a job as a federal prosecutor, and there was a box for convicted felons. That better be taken off."

Sara Haines gave a pep-talk talking about continuing the fight.

"We have our democracy," said Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked for Trump's administration. "I cast my vote. Millions did."

She went on to say that she hopes Americans can "bring down the temperature, the name-calling, the demonizing. If they want to do it, they can do it."

Ana Navarro, a former Republican strategist, pledged her continued support to marginalized communities who could become the target in a new administration.

"I make a commitment to our LGBTQ, to our immigrants, to our elderly, young girls, women, we will not stop fighting," she promised. "We can be sad today. Today we can be sad. Tomorrow, we stand up and continue."

Navarro said that even with Trump as the president, Americans still have the power to speak out and to fight.

"We have every right as Americans because we love this country, because this is the most exceptional country in the world," she continued. "We have the right and duty to speak up and denounce abuses of power and to be vigilant. I invite all Americans to do it. We're doing what they didn't do. We're recognizing they won. Now let's see what happens when he's governing."
