‘Absolutely unacceptable’: Navy apologizes after aircrew members draw a penis in the sky

Officials at the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island on Friday acknowledged that members of their aircrew were responsible for skywriting a picture of a penis in Okanogan County, Washington.

“The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable,” Navy officials told KREM 2 News.

According to Krem 2, a Federal Aviation Administration official said they “cannot police morality,” and insisted they can only take action if skywriting poses a safety risk.
