Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) will resign his Senate seat on Thursday, MPR News reports.
The news comes after yet another woman accused Franken of sexual misconduct. At least six women in total have accused the Democratic senator of misconduct. According to MPR, Franken on Wednesday went to his Washington D.C. home to discuss the decision with his family after a majority of Democratic senators called for his resignation.
The decision means Gov. Mark Dayton will name Franken's successor, who will serve until the midterm elections in 2018.
