Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones feared that Donald Trump's presidency could spin out of control over Jeffrey Epstein's missing client list, which he worried could result in Democrats sending him to prison.
On Monday, Jones devoted his three-hour show to covering reports that the Department of Justice had claimed there was no Epstein client list after Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News that she had it on her desk.
"So I'm gonna ask again, why would they send it out? If you're going to cover it up, you don't send it out?" Jones asked former FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin. "That is like... It'd be like me calling up a rental place and saying, send me an industrial wood chipper, and I plug the son of a b---- in, and I climb in it. I mean, sorry, I'm just, I can't handle it."
"It's mind-blowing," Seraphin agreed.
"I just, I need Trump to succeed," Jones said, sounding desperate. "God, you know, the Democrats get back in, they're gonna put me in prison for sure."
"So I'm in this paradox where I — Trump's with all this other great stuff, and then there's this... I just can't lie," he added. "I want to walk up and ask [FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino], what the hell are you, or [FBI Director] Kash Patel, like you've done the dumbest thing I've ever seen."
"You're going to cover it up? Just shut up."
