Habba's smiling gaffe mocked: 'Sure looks happy after losing her client half a billion'

Former President Donald Trump's attorney Alina Habba smiled when she remembered the hoards of liberal women who cried when they learned he'd won the White House... she just forgot that he lost.

Habba appeared on Fox News Monday evening to share her views on women who do not vote Republican with a smile on her face.

"Do you remember in 2016 and 2020," Habba said, "and you had these women, there's memes now, of them crying when Trump won...I remember waking up at 2 a.m. and watching liberals just shed liberal tears."

Trump did claim the 2016 election but — as federal prosecutors in Washington D.C. and state prosecutors in Georgia note — Trump lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden despite efforts that have left him facing criminal charges.

Viewers who saw Habba make this declaration on X were quick to jump on the mistake and add context.

"I don't recall ANY women liberals crying in 2020," wrote Claire S. "Bc he LOST in 2020."
