Alina Habba, an attorney for Donald Trump, claimed her personal fame was a sign that the legal system had persecuted the former president.
Habba spoke to Fox News on Monday in her new role as a Trump 2024 campaign adviser. Host Martha MacCallum began the interview by asking Trump's attorney to weigh in on President Joe Biden's refusal to drop out of the race.
"President Biden is doubling down," Habba insisted. "He is clearly on the take for all of these items, electric cars, China, whatever it is, and whoever it is that he may be in bed with and have deals with."
MacCallum pointed to a poll showing that 48% of Americans believe Trump should serve time in prison for his 34 felony convictions in a New York hush money trial.

"This is the regime's attack for election interference," Habba claimed. "They have wasted taxpayer dollars for three years."
"Martha, I have been in and out of courts, as everybody knows," she added. "And the fact that President Trump's lawyer has become well-known says it all."
"This is not something that has ever happened."
