Allen Weisselberg flipping ‘another domino to fall’ as ‘world around Trump is crumbling’: Michael Avenatti

Attorney Michael Avenatti said reports that Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, was granted immunity by federal prosecutors in return for his testimony against former Donald Trump lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen.

Avenatti, who represents the adult film star known by the stage name Stormy Daniels, has been involved in a very public battle with President Trump and Cohen over hush money payments to his client.

"What does this now mean to you, the grant of immunity to Allen Weisselberg, how does that help you get to the bottom of the story?" MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi asked.

"Well, this is another domino to fall in this process," Avenatti answered. "And you know, with each passing 24 hour period, we're seeing more and more dominos begin to fall and the world around Donald Trump and his criminal enterprise crumbling frankly."

"There is no question that this is going to further our case," he continued. "Our case has come a long way in the last week."

"And I think all of these developments are very positive for us and very negative for Donald Trump," Avenatti added.

Avenatti noted the Weisselberg news in the context of David Pecker's reported immunity.

"Both Pecker's immunity and Weisselberg's grant of immunity tells me that there are a lot of fireworks ahead," he predicted.
