Ana Navarro mocks Trump's performance with women: 'His gender gap is more like gender Grand Canyon'
November 06, 2018
CNN's Ana Navarro on Tuesday ridiculed Trump's performance with women, saying his daughter Ivanka's appearance at last night's rally was 'a stunt' that wouldn't solve the president's problems.
"It used to be a gender gap, it is right now a gender grand canyon, which requires more than a bridge to gap," replied Navarro with a snort. "You don't build that bridge in one rally on one night. By the way, a ridiculous rally and a ridiculous stunt and ridiculous attempt."
Navarro said Trump and the Republicans had only themselves to blame, and held up the Kavanaugh hearings as but one example.
"We saw a Judiciary Committee, the members of the Republican Judiciary Committee, not one woman," Navarro said, despite the stakes for women that the confirmation represented. And she slammed Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) for saying "there's no women in the Republican Judiciary Committee because it's too much hard work, despite the fact that the Democrat ranking member is a woman and 80 years old."
"It's been so many things. Of course Trump's tone, Trump's language, Trump's flaunting and boasting of sexual assault, yeah, those things don't help," Navarro added derisively. "By this point if you don't know who Donald Trump is, I don't know where you've been for the last three years."
"Sisters come out, Latinas come out," she said, urging black women and Latinas to get to the polls.
