The X account of Andrew Tate, the MAGA-aligned influencer facing extradition for a slew of charges that include child pornography, bemoaned conditions in his jail cell Sunday – and was immediately mocked.
Tate, who’s frequently boasted about his closeness to the Trump family, appeared to be communicating from a Special Housing Unit following his arrest in Florida earlier this month.
“My water faucet is broken” the post states. "I am not allowed bottles of water in SHU. I have nothing clean to drink."
Both Tate and his brother Tristan face extradition to the United Kingdom for charges that include rape and sex trafficking, reports show. Their attorney has denied the charges and declared his clients innocent.
The Tate brothers were previously arrested in 2022 on rape and human trafficking charges in Romania, though the case stalled following pressure from the Trump administration.
"My only water comes from the shower, warm and from a brown and filthy faucet," Tate's account posted Sunday. "It has given me persistent stomach problems."
A number of critics passed on extending Tate their sympathies.
“Have you tried crying about it?” asked Travis Akers, a retired U.S. Navy intelligence officer and veterans advocate, in a social media post on X Sunday.
Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) sarcastically quipped “poor guy,” while also arguing that Tate – dubbed the “king of toxic masculinity” by fans – exposed himself after his “Scooby Doo mask was ripped off,” revealing “a trembling scared beta cuck.”
“This is supposed to be a manly man,” wrote Joshua Carr, a conservative political commentator and podcaster.
And the “Socialist Voice” X account, formerly run by British Labour activist Scott Nelson, issued Tate some sarcastic advice for his bottled water-related challenges.
“Outrageous!” reads the post on X. “You should leave a bad review on TripAdvisor. Sending positive vibes.”
