Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) filmed yelling at town hall attendees because they were laughing at him led to more laughter on MS NOW on Wednesday afternoon.
Harris, who later tried to get journalists arrested for filming him, was attempting to defend his party and Donald Trump when he got static from the crowd that was not to his liking. That led to a finger-wagging lecture from the embattled GOP lawmaker, which also did not go over well with the crowd.
As he tried to blame Democrats on Tuesday night for rising fuel prices, he was interrupted by multiple people arguing with him and a substantial amount of loud laughter.
"Ma'am, I gotta tell you," the clearly exasperated Harris responded, while pointing off-stage, only to be interrupted by even more laughter.
"This is the problem," he snapped. "You all say you believe there's a First Amendment, but only if you agree with you — you should let me finish the sentence -- Ma'am. You are rude!"
When the clip ended MS NOW host Alicia Menendez smirked and addressed guest Jim Acosta, saying, “I mean, hell of a strategy, Jim; to lie to your constituents, to then act as though they are the problem. The challenge, of course, for Republicans is they do not have a better retort.”
“No, I don't know what's worse when the audience boos you or laughs at you,” the laughing Acosta replied. “They were LOLing there.”
He then added, “I mean, that was that was pretty embarrassing for Andy Harris. I think he would like to speak to the manager, is what it sounds like.”
