Ann Coulter slams 'arrogant' Fox News as Trump ignites civil war among the right

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter took a swing at conservative cable station Fox News on MSNBC's Hardball.

Coulter appeared on the talk show on Wednesday night and condemned Fox News for releasing a "smart alecky" press release targeting GOP front runner Donald Trump, who pulled out of appearing in Thursday night's primary debate.

"We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings," the statement, provided to Mediaite, reads.

The network also accused Trump's spokesman threatening Fox host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly.

Coulter said she thinks Trump has established himself as the "real alpha dog" in the race, before saying Trump has shaken up the idea that Fox News is "our" network.

"Monopolies can get arrogant and there does seem to be a little bit of arrogance here," she said. "It's not just that it's smart alecky in how it treats Trump. It's really insulting to voters."
